Authorities in Maryland are trying to identify a suspect accused of assaulting a young girl who was posting signs in support of George Floyd. The girl was with a group of people putting up posters around the Capital Crescent Trail in Montgomery County.
As they were hanging the signs, which read "Killer Cops Will Not Go Free," a man on a bicycle approached the group and confronted them. The man then walked towards the young girl while a woman and man can be heard screaming at him to leave her alone.
The man ignored their cries and forcibly ripped the signs out of the girl's hands before going after the person filming. He picked up his bike and charged towards the man who was recording, knocking him to the ground. The cyclist then rode off, and nobody was hurt.
Authorities tweeted photos of the suspect, who was wearing an orange bicycle helmet, a grey shirt, black shorts, and sunglasses. They said he is wanted for assault and asked the public for help locating him.
