(Washington, DC) -- A handful of advocacy groups are calling on Facebook to permanently ban Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from the platform. In a letter to the social media giant this week, a coalition of civil rights, gun control, and other groups said Facebook has allowed Greene to "spread dangerous lies and grow her popularity for years without taking action." This comes as the Republican in recent weeks has come under scrutiny for her past comments in support of various conspiracy theories. Facebook says it has previously removed content by Greene that violates its policies, but the coalition is seeking her campaign and congressional pages to all be removed.
