GA Prosecutors Open Criminal Investigation Into Trump Call

(Atlanta, GA) -- Prosecutors in the Atlanta area are opening a criminal investigation into former President Trump's request that Georgia's top elections official find him more votes. The New York Times reports the newly-elected Democratic prosecutor from Fulton County sent letters to numerous officials to preserve documents related to Trump's phone call to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. In audio of that call later released to the media, Trump is heard asking him to find enough votes for him to change the outcome of the presidential election. The Times cites former prosecutors in saying Trump's call may have violated three state laws, including solicitation to commit election fraud.
