The Latin American Association continues to expand its vaccination schedule (dates below) at its headquarters, in coordination with the CORE Community Organized Relief Effort of DeKalb County and CVS pharmacies.

The LAA’s goal is to help the community receive the inoculation against COVID-19 in the easiest and most convenient way possible.

Additionally, the LAA will begin to administer the vaccine to children from the age of 12, who must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

To date, the LAA has already vaccinated 568 people. The organization will con-tinue to vaccinate people through July.

The Latino community has been one of the hardest hit by the Covid-19 pan-demic, yet Latinos represent only 17% of those who are fully vaccinated, ac-cording to the Georgia Health Center.

"There are still some questions about vaccines in our community," said LAA Executive Director Santiago Márquez. "We want to help people get the vaccine in a place that is comfortable and familiar and that does not interrupt their day."

You do not need an appointment, but if you want to do it you can do it at the following link:

To receive the vaccine, it is not necessary to present identification or proof of residence or medical insurance.

The event will have bilingual staff to assist non-English speakers.
